After arriving in begnion, the apostle shows doubt that Elincia's claim to the Crimean throne is real, even after Ike defended her claim. This was all a ruse, however, as Sephiran had already confirmed Princess Elincia's claim to the throne. Ike, enraged by her actions, stands up for Elincia and goes as far to insult the way of begnion. The senators are quick to action, but the Apostle halts her guards from arresting Ike, saving his life. Ike, realising the foolishness of his actions, agrees to run an errond for the Apostle, whcih takes him to a foggy river where he must battle some bandits.

The base preparation should be spent wisely for the battle ahead. Give each character a new ranged weapon and replace any worn-out melee weapons that your characters have. In the battle ahead, the enemies are quite fond of venom weapons which poison your team. So hand out any antitoxins and restore staves to those who want them.

The second group should consist of Gatrie, Jill and Zihark. They should work thier way straight north and take care of all the enemies on the central island and on the birdges. Once they have done so, push forward, slowly and carefully. Use Jill's canto to your advantage by launcing hit-and-run attacks on the boss's right-hand men. By this time, the first group should have merged with this one.

Before taking out the boss, use your promoted units to kill the feral ones nearby, since thier laguz, they can't counter attack at range so Soren and rhys are your best units to kill them with. Once they are out of the way, use ranged attacks to kill the boss. the boss will not move from his position, so don't worry about him attacking weaker units. Just be careful, however, that you don't attack him at close-range because he has a good chance of landing a critical hit and killing one of your characters.

Ike, realising the foolishness of his actions, agrees to run an errand for the Apostle, which takes him to a foggy river where he must battle some bandits.

Base preparations

The base preparation should be spent wisely for the battle ahead. Give each character a new ranged weapon and replace any worn-out melee weapons that your characters have. In the battle ahead, the enemies are quite fond of venom weapons which poison your team. So hand out any antitoxins and restore staves to those who want them.

In a chest last level, you received an occult scroll, give it to either Soren or Rhys. Give the bonus experience to Gatrie, Zihark and Jill to help them catch up to the rest of the group. After this, watch any support or info conversations you wish, save, then start the battle.

The battle

For this level you will need to separate your group into two groups:

The first group should consist of Oscar, Boyd and Marcia. If you have not used Marcia, keep her out of harms way, because she is vital to recruiting Makalov. This group shall go north-west towards the houses in the north. Their job is to kill all the enemies to the north-west, visit the houses before the bandit gets to them, then meet up with the remainder of the group on the central island.

Recruiting Makalov
Talking to Makalov with Marcia lets him join your group, he joins under-levelled and will require a lot of levelling up to catch up to your group, but this is worth it, because Makalov is the best paladin in the game, statistically.

The second group should consist of Gatrie, Jill and Zihark. They should work thier way straight north and take care of all the enemies on the central island and on the bridges. Once they have done so, push forward, slowly and carefully. Use Jill's canto to your advantage by launching hit-and-run attacks on the boss's right-hand men. By this time, the first group should have merged with this one.

Before taking out the boss, use your promoted units to kill the feral ones nearby, since they're laguz, they can't counter attack at range so Soren and rhys are your best units to kill them with. Once they are out of the way, use ranged attacks to kill the boss. the boss will not move from his position, so don't worry about him attacking weaker units. Just be careful, however, that you don't attack him at close-range because he has a good chance of landing a critical hit and killing one of your characters.
