Metroid is filled with odd codes, as all but one of them were hard-coded into the game.

Enter all these at the password screen.

Start at the beginning with suitless Samus, and:
  • Weapons: Wave Beam, Screw Attack
  • Energy Tanks = 6 (empty) / Missiles = 216
NOTE: Use a ZERO in the word B0MB, not an 'O.'

Start in Norfair with suitless Samus, and:
  • Equipment: Varia Suit, Hi-Jump Boots, Screw Attack, and Wave Beam (Ice Beam is left to aquire)
  • Energy Tanks = 5 / Missiles = 255(205 after collecting any missiles or upgrades)
NOTE: Both mini-bosses are defeated so only Tourian is left

Turns the screen black, and freezes the game. (Note: When used on an emulator, the game starts with a glitchy blue overlay, suitless Samus, and the Wave Beam.
