In Versus Mode, up to four players can compete against each other (two for each team) on each round. Once Players 1 and 2 have selected a team to take control of, Players 3 and 4 must select a different team to take control of; this can be unfortunate if the one that Players 1 and 2 chose to take control of was their preferred choice. All four players will then be asked as a whole if they want their teams to be comprised of either three (LW controlled by Player 1 and 3, RW and GK controlled by Player 2 and 4) or five (LW and LD controlled by Player 1 and 3, RW, RD and GK controlled by Player 2 and 4) members - you must make a group decisionn to choose the number that would be most comfortable to play with. Your chosen teams will then have to face each other over three periods, and the losing team of each period will also be forced to insert another coin before a timer runs out if they wish to continue playing and have another chance to get back at their opponents. The game will also end after only one round to ensure that the players do not spend more than 500 yen in a single sitting, and features a different ending sequence to that of Tournament Mode which depicts the five members of the winning team cheering inn the foreground while the five members of the losing team are sticking their tongues out at them in the background.
