Dark Cloud (ダーククラウド Daaku Kuraudo?) is an action RPG with city-building elements (similar to ActRaiser and Soul Blazer) developed by Level-5 and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It was released on December 14, 2000 in Japan, on May 28, 2001 in North America and on September 21, 2001 in Europe. A sequel with an unrelated plot, Dark Chronicle (released as Dark Cloud 2 in North America), was released in 2002.
Dark Cloud was released among the "PlayStation 2 Classics" titles for the PlayStation 3 in 2012. It was released for the PlayStation 4 in 2015.

You play Toan, a boy in a magical world. An evil genie has apparently destroyed much of the world, but wizards have actually hidden everything in spheres called atla. You, and Toan’s five companions, must release the items from the atla and rebuild the world.
