Turbulence[edit]

Riding a turbulence increases your speed to a point where you can pass the person creating the turbulence.

Turbulence Block[edit]

If you created a turbulence, you can press the two buttons below to cause a tornado that boxes the turbulence up and causes other riders to lose speed. Don't use it too often, as this consumes more air than drifting! To do this just press:

  • GameCube: L button+R button
  • PlayStation 2: L1 button+R1 button
  • Xbox: LT button+RT button

Turbulence Escape[edit]

Be aware, however, that you're not the only rider who can create a tornado. If you're ever in an opponent's turbulence and they set a tornado at the end, you need to get out of there quickly! Luckily, you can escape by using the same buttons used to create a Turbulence Block to escape your assailant's turbulence. This doesn't waste air so feel free to do this without fear of losing air and having to run to an air pit.
