Lord British: "Ah, thou hast brought a companion! Beneath my castle is a cavern so dangerous none dare venture there alone."
If two players link games together, a new series of eight dungeons becomes available from the north-west tower in Lord British's castle. On the other hand, in this mode it impossible to leave the castle.
For this mode to work, it is necessary that the two player choose different characters and different names.
On the bottom floor of each cavern, two Runes of Virtue can be found, one for each player.
- Cavern one: Beginner's Cave (2 runes of Valor)
- Cavern two: the Crypt
- Cavern three: Hero's Cave
- Cavern four: Lair of the Black Knight
- Cavern five: the Volcanic Cave
- Cavern six: the Race
- Cavern seven: the Gauntlet
- Cavern eight: the Dragon Cave
