Plot and clues[edit]
The numbers in the "location" column refers to a plot-wise game progression.
Sort the table by "Subject" to see at a glance all hints about the same subject.
The NES text is different from the original because it was first translated into Japanese, then expanded, translated back into English, and eventually reduced to fit the available space. In the process, some clues were added, but an important clue went missing.

Six characters in Ultima 3 are recurrent in the series. In the NES port, some characters are found in the same locations, but they say completely different lines. In particular, Shamino is replaced by his real-life alter-ego Richard Garriott.
