This walkthrough is separated into two parts: one for the European campaign, set in Germany; the other for the American campaign, set in California.

In general, Construction Simulator is not a challenging game, and involves completing relatively simple tasks to complete the construction of various projects and fulfilling contracts. Most of the challenge, therefore, will rely in utilizing the right tools for the right job.

Therefore, rather than micromanage players and avoid explaining the obvious (eg. drive to the gravel plant to pick up gravel, then dump it on the indicated area, then drive back to the gravel plant...), this guide will instead outline the necessary steps for each construction project, the recommended tools to complete it, and generic recommendations for completing objectives.

In general, it is not necessary to fully complete a task, only to fill the progress bar. Once the progress bar for a task is filled to 100%, the remaining work is completed automatically. This is to prevent a need for players to be pixel-perfect and hunt down tiny missing spots to finish an objective.

All the contracts in the game have a job scope that sets the total amount of work that needs to be done. This guide will generally assume players are on the highest job scope possible unless otherwise noted. A higher job scope typically involves more work, but greater rewards. Oftentimes a higher job scope also demands more resources, which in turns demands more up-front spending; refer to the Finances page for general recommendations on saving and making money.
