Rescue Percy's Politoed, which has been abducted by a mysterious gang
Back at Base[edit]
Aria will meet up with you, advising that you should go report that you've cleared out all the sludge from the Waterworks, so you both head out, as a Go-Rock grunt watches as their plans fail yet again. Once back at the Ranger Base, Joel decides to promote you to Ranger Rank 4 for a successful job! This means you can use the Bug Assist, the Ground Assist, and you can carry one more friend Pokémon, so your party size is now 5! He also tells you that you can add more friend Pokémon at Ranger Ranks 7 and 10.
You get a message from Spenser telling you that the Go-Rock Squad has been active in Summerland, so he asks that you go there to gather information. However, Joel informs you that the ferry that goes to Summerland isn't working and the Dragonite that could normally take you there can't be used at your current Ranger Rank. Therefore, you have to go ask the guy at the dock with the Lapras to see if he'll allow you to ride it.
Riding Lapras[edit]
Head out of the Ranger Base and continue going down through areas until you find yourself in the first area of the game and go to the dock. Go to the right to talk to the Lapras guy, you hear cries of help. Continuing right will show that Lapras is being attacked by two Krabby. Capture them.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Krabby | Water | 6 |
If you want to capture both at the same time for more xp then use Minun/Plusle but if you dont want to then capturr then one by time as they move around alot. After they are captured, the Krabby will calm down and you release them. The guy says he owes you one, so you ask him if he can let you ride Lapras to Summerland. He says yes and Lapras's data is added to the Browser.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Lapras | None | Water | N/A |
Just walk to the right and you'll jump right onto Lapras, it's time to go to Summerland!
Summerland[edit]
Once you've arrived, go to the left and you'll receive a message from Spenser telling you to go see Cameron, the leader of Summerland's Ranger Base, as he might have some info on the Go-Rock Squad. As soon as you get off Lapras, MC Fisher is right next to you which is where you can start the Marine Sea Challenge. It's advised to wait until after you beat the game to start it though to get the full list of Pokémon in it. To check out the list go to Marine Sea Challenge
Summerland's Ranger Base[edit]
When you enter, you will meet with Percy and Leilani, who tell you that they don't know about the Go-Rock Squad. They then inform you that Cameron went out to a Capture Challenge. Percy goes with his Politoed to get their leader. Talk to Leilani, and Cameron will come into the base, but just like Percy and Leilani, he has never heard of the Go-Rock Squad. Suddenly, Percy comes back, saying that some suspicious people used a really weird Capture Styler on his Politoed and they went toward Olive Jungle.
Cameron asks that you help by going to Olive Jungle and capture Politoed to give it back to Percy. As soon as you exit the base, you get a message from Spenser. Politoed's rescue is now your next official mission! Head to the left then up at the next intersection to go towards Olive Jungle.
Where's Politoed?[edit]
Olive Jungle[edit]
Percy comes in and apologizes for the inconvenience, and begs that you get his Politoed back. You are now free to explore, and right away you have access to a new Pokémon, Treecko which you should keep for a later use.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Treecko | Grass | 4 |
You can also see some trees that you can use the Field Move on, but you can ignore this for now. You can also ignore the small patches of grass that require to clear.
Climb the vines and move up to be introduced to the Go-Rock Quads, a group of Go-Rock admins as well as musicians, composed of Billy the guitar player, Tiffany the violin player, Garrett the bass player and Clyde the drum player. After they introduce themselves, they say they are planning to use the ultimate Styler to catch a Legendary Pokémon and end the Rangers. They then leave, so head left to find a member of Go-Rock Squad who attacks you with three Wurmple.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Wurmple | None | Bug | 3 |
After capturing them they will run off, and you should head left to the next area where you'll see a Go-Rock grunt taking Politoed away. In this area, you will see a couple more new Pokémon, Electrike and Phanpy. You will also see a sleeping Snorlax which you can ignore.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Electrike | Electric | 2 | |
Phanpy | Ground | 5 |
You can use the Electrike to recharge your Styler when you need it and you can use one of the Phanpy here to use its Field Move on one of the trees from the previous area to capture a Slakoth.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Slakoth | Normal | 6 |
Anyway, moving on, follow the same path that the Go-Rock grunt took to the next screen to find another grunt with two Ekans that you'll have to capture.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Ekans | None | Poison | 5 |
If you want to get the bonus xp from capturing both Ekans at the same tine, its advised to use Minun/Plusle. Once they are captured, keep going forward and watch out for the falling Spinarak. You only need to capture one to register it into the Browser.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Spinarak | None | Bug | 3 |
Keep going forward to get to the next area where you'll find a new Pokémon, Lotad. If you want to capture it, make sure to sneak up on it from behind, otherwise it'll hide in the shallow water. Keep the Lotad as youll need it in a few seconds.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Lotad | Water | 3 |
If you go to the right, you'll see that Politoed has escaped the grunt to the other side of a small river. You'll see a dead tree that requires the 3x Field Move to clear, so you'll have to catch a Pokémon that can use this.
Go back left and then climb the vines and there will be two Pokémon, a Ludicolo, which we've already seen but you should capture it to help capture the Heracross nearby. Walk behind the Heracross to capture it.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Ludicolo | None | Water | 8 |
Heracross | Fighting | 8 |
Take the Heracross back to the dead tree and use its 3x Field Move to topple the tree over the small river to get across. However, before you move on to the next area, go up where you can see an Electrike and you'll find a small vine. Use Lotad's Field Move to grow the vine so you can climb it. Up here, you can capture a new Pokémon, Grovyle. Make sure to capture it and keep it with you as you'll need it later.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Grovyle | Grass | 5 |
Right after you capture it, use one of your Treecko's Field Move to cut down the bush which is just past where the Groyvle was. Go inside the small opening and you'll find another new Pokémon, Lombre.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Lombre | Water | 6 |
If Lombre is too jump for you then use Minun/Plusle for an easier capture
Go back down and to the right to the next area. You'll see two Mankey and a Primeape attacking the Go-Rock grunt with Politoed. He brings them right to you so you'll have to deal with them.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Mankey | Fighting | 5 | |
Primeape | Fighting | 10 |
Capturing the 2 Mankeys and Primeape is very hard and you need to dodge their charges by retracting your line quite often. Once their charge is done they will stop to gasp for air and thats when loop and capture them. Its advised to do one loop and run then re-encounter them one by one.
After the capture, there isn't much else to do here, so go back to where you captured the Heracross. You'll see the Go-Rock grunt put up a metal fence, but thankfully you have the perfect Pokémon for the task! Use Grovyle's 2x Field Move to clear the metal fence and move on to the next area. A grunt will be standing there with two Paras and a new Pokémon, Beautifly.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Paras | Grass | 4 | |
Beautifly | None | Flying | 7 |
Watch out for Beautifly's Stun Spore attack, as the hitboxes of the spores remain on screen for a good amount of time. Besides that, it should be an easy capture.
After the capture, the grunt will run away and you'll be able to climb the vines. However, you'll have to watch out for yet another new Pokémon, Gligar, as they'll try to tackle and make you fall off the vines if they see you.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Gligar | Ground | 5 |
After you've made it to the the top of the vines, you'll see the grunt take Politoed into what seems to be some sort of ancient temple. Though outside there are still two aromatic flowers that require x2 to clear, you don't have a Pokémon that can use this Field Move yet, so simply chase the grunt into the temple.
When you head inside, you'll have to capture Politoed.
Pokémon | Field Move | Poké Assist | Loops |
---|---|---|---|
Politoed | Water | 7 |
Watch out for Politoed's high jumps, as it can easily break your line. You may want to use your partner's assist to stun it for a little while to make the capture easier.
Once you've captured Politoed, it'll go back to its owner, and the grunt will run away. When you exit the temple, you'll see Billy of the Go-Rock Quads who will comment on how when you capture a Pokémon they break them from the control of their Styler, and then he leaves. You'll then meet up with Percy and Politoed. He thanks you for return his Politoed to him, and just like that it's mission complete!
Mission Clear!
