Welcome to the game. Once your two chosen aircraft have appeared on the screen, they will start moving forwards as eleven Green Ninjas come flying down towards them from the top of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, you will come to two Yellow Tanks that are firing projectiles up at you from their positions on the left side of the screen.
Once you have dropped a bomb upon both of these to kill them, four more Green Ninjas will come flying down towards you, from the top of the screen - and once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, you will come to two Type 1 Missile Tanks and four more Yellow Tanks that are firing missiles and projectiles up at you from their position on the left side of, in the centre of, and on the right side of the screen.
Once you have dropped a bomb on each of these to kill them, six more Green Ninjas will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them twelve more Green Ninjas will emerge from the forest below and fly towards you while firing projectiles at you.
Once you have fired a shot at each of these, to kill them, twelve more Green Ninjas will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen while firing projectiles at you - and once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them, two more Yellow Tanks will come rolling into view from the left side of the screen while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them, two Yellow Boosters will come rolling into view from the left and right sides of the screen while firing projectiles up at you; once you've dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them a Type 1 Super Tank will come rolling down into view from the top of the screen while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you have dropped enough bombs on it to kill it another Type 1 Super Tank will come rolling into view from the right side of the screen while firing projectiles at you - and once you've dropped enough bombs on it to kill it a third Type 1 Super Tank will come rolling out of the forest on the left side of the screen while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you drop enough bombs on it to kill it fourteen Type 1 Missiles will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen; once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them, three more Yellow Tanks will roll out of the forest on the left side of the screen while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them, a Type 1 Cobra will come flying down into view from the top of the screen while firing projectiles from its cannons at you - and once you fire enough shots at both of its cannons to destroy them (and its body to kill it) seven more Green Ninjas will emerge from the forest below and fly towards you while firing projectiles at you.
Once you've fired a shot at each of them to kill them a twelfth Yellow Tank will roll out of the forest on the left side of the screen (while firing projectiles up at you); once you drop a bomb on it to kill it eight more Green Ninjas will fly down towards you from the top of the screen while firing projectiles at you.
Once you fire a shot at each of them to kill them, three more Yellow Tanks will roll out of the forest at the bottom of the screen, while firing projectiles up at you - and once you have dropped a bomb on each of these, to kill them, four more Type 1 Missile Tanks and two more Yellow Tanks will come rolling down towards you from the top of the screen, while firing missiles and projectiles up at you.
Once you have dropped a bomb on each of these, to kill them, sixteen Phantoms will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen; once you fire a shot at each of them to kill them, three more Yellow Tanks will come rolling down towards you from the top of the screen, while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you've dropped a bomb on both of these to kill them, four more Green Ninjas will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen while firing projectiles at you - and once you have fired a shot at each of them to kill them four more Yellow Tanks will come rolling into view from the left and right sides of the screen, while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you've dropped a bomb on each of these to kill them, two more Yellow Tanks will roll into view from the right side of the screen and away from you, while firing projectiles up at you; once you've dropped a bomb on both of these, to kill them, four more Yellow Tanks will come rolling into view from the left side of the screen, both towards and away from you, while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you've dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them, four more Green Ninjas will fly down towards you from the top of the screen - and once you have fired one shot at each of them to kill them, three more Yellow Tanks will come rolling down into view from the top of the screen while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you've dropped a bomb on each of them to kill them, four more Green Ninjas will fly down towards you, from the top of the screen; once you fire a shot at each of these, to kill them, two more Yellow Tanks will roll out of the building on the left side of the screen and away from you while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you drop a bomb on both of them to kill them two more Yellow Tanks will roll out of the building on the right side of the screen and away from you while firing projectiles up at you - and once you've dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them, you will come to a Type 1 Mini Battleship (which will start sailing away from you, while firing projectiles at you).
Once you have dropped a single bomb on its two small projectile cannons (and enough bombs on its two larger projectile cannons, central section and cabin) to destroy them, it will explode; two more Yellow Tanks will then roll into view from that left side of the screen, rotate 90 degrees anticlockwise, then roll away from you while firing projectiles up at you.
Once you have dropped a bomb on both of these to kill them, you will come to two more Type 1 Yellow Tanks on the left side of the screen as they rotate 180 degrees clockwise, then start rolling towards you while firing projectiles up at you - and once you have dropped a bomb upon both of these to kill them, four more Green Ninjas will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen, while firing projectiles at you.
Once you've fired a shot at each of these to kill them, two more Yellow Tanks will roll into view from the right side of the screen while firing projectiles up at you; once you have dropped a bomb on both of them to kill them thirty-two more Green Ninjas will come flying down towards you from the top of the screen, while firing projectiles at you.
Once you have fired a shot at each of these to kill them, the text of "RED ALERT, TARGET IN SIGHT" will appear on the screen as Giant Freezer emerges from the ocean - and an infinite amount of Type 1 Air Wolves will come flying towards you from the left and right sides of the screen while firing projectiles at you during this battle which you will have a chance to kill for 200 extra points apiece.
Giant Freezer will initially attack by firing projectiles at your two chosen aircraft from its four small tail-mounted projectile cannons; once all four of these have been destroyed it will start firing more projectiles and missiles at you from its seven additional right-mounted projectile and missile cannons.
Once all seven of them have been destroyed it will start launching an infinite amount of additional Green Ninjas into the air, which will all fly towards you while firing projectiles at you (which you will have the opportunity to kill, for 100 extra points apiece) as you fire more shots at the three parts of its cabin - and once all three parts of its cabin have been destroyed, it will start firing lasers and more missiles at you from its nine final front-mounted laser and missile cannons.
Once all nine of them have been destroyed, it will explode, and you will receive 20000 points; the text "ROUND 1 CLEAR" will then appear on the screen as you receive 2000 bonus points for every group of Green (and Blue) Soldiers you had picked up during the round. Now, it is onto Round 2, where your two chosen aircraft will have to rescue Parachutists as opposed to groups of Soldiers and fight the game's first air-based boss Killer Boeing.
