Sandgem Town is the second town you find on your journey. It is home to Professor Rowan, Dawn/Lucas, and Dawn's/Lucas's younger sister. Also found here are two things a beginning trainer will find essential; a Pokémon Center and a Poké Mart.
Arrival[edit]
Dawn/Lucas will be waiting for you at the entrance and he will bring you to Professor Rowan's lab where you'll bump into Barry again who briefly describes Rowan and then he darts off. Lucas/Dawn then takes you inside to talk to Rowan. Rowan takes a look at your Pokémon and says that you have a bond with it and let's you keep it. He also gives you a Pokédex.
Town tour[edit]
When you leave the lab Lucas/Dawn shows you around the town, telling you that you can heal at the Pokémon Center free of charge, and you can stock up on items at the Poké Mart, though you won't be able to buy much with your meager 
3,000.
